Pet-Focused Travel Advisor
About the Role
Hounds Travel is creating a better way to plan and book travel with dogs. As a Pet-Focused Travel Advisor, you will guide travelers through destination options, logistics, and trip planning while helping them feel confident and supported before, during, and after their trip. This is a flexible, remote role designed for someone who loves travel, understands pet-friendly planning, and enjoys building strong client relationships.
Key Responsibilities
Client Advisory
- Guide clients through trip planning, destination selection, timing, routes, and travel logistics for dog-friendly travel
- Recommend trip options and travel packages that fit each client’s needs, budget, and travel style
- Help clients navigate pet travel requirements, destination expectations, and booking details with confidence
Relationship Building
- Build trust with pet travelers through responsive service, thoughtful recommendations, and clear communication
- Support repeat client relationships and foster referral opportunities through exceptional service
Sales & Growth
- Drive bookings and grow your client base through outreach, relationship-building, and personalized recommendations
- Stay informed on Hounds Travel offerings and identify opportunities to match clients with relevant services and experiences
Compensation Structure
Independent, commission-based role with flexible hours and remote work.
You earn on travel bookings and referrals generated through your client relationships.
Create your own schedule and build a business around the clients you serve.
Qualifications
- Passion for travel, pet-friendly experiences, and helping clients plan with confidence
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Comfortable selling travel services and guiding clients through a booking journey
- Self-motivated, organized, and able to work independently
- Knowledge of dog-friendly travel, hospitality, or trip planning is a plus
Nice to Have
- Experience in travel advising, hospitality, or customer service
- Existing network of pet owners, travelers, or referrals
- Familiarity with international pet travel, dog-friendly destinations, or concierge-style planning
